We traveled to Wheatley, Arkansas for a women’s snow goose conservation hunt. 9 women come from California(5) Kansas(2) and Pennsylvania(1) and Arkansas(1) The day we all arrived had terrible weather so we were not able to hunt, which actually worked out because we were all able to chat and get to know each other at the lodge.
After the rain cleared up, we were able to head to our first hunt. It ended up being unsuccessful as far as bird numbers go, but we definitely had a limit of laughter and fun.
Our third day and second time out we had an awesome hunt. Birds were working us constantly and we had a few good volleys. We were able to stack up a decent pile of birds!
There wasn’t a dull moment in between hunts…
And we definitely went out with a bang!
Shout-out to Hardy Facepaint for coming out with WHITE face paint that worked perfectly for this hunt!
