Amelia grew up hunting in the woods of Wisconsin where she spent her days learning to hunt and fish with her family. She is currently attending school in northern Wisconsin so she can be close to everything that she loves and to pursue a career with the Wisconsin DNR.

In 2014, she and her dad got their first bear tags together. They arrived at the spot where they knew bears were frequenting on a regular basis. After hours of waiting, a bear finally arrived and Amelia took the shot with her dad by her side. “It was the best experience to go through with someone I was so close to and the best part was that we watched this bear grow up from a cub on our cameras!” said Amelia.
